I Scream, You Scream

Not too long ago, The Guardian reported on the campaign begun by a New Jersey librarian to get Ben & Jerrys to launch a literary-themed ice cream flavor. The leading candidates included Sh-sh-sh-sherbet, Malt Whitman and the Gooey Decimal System. In that same spirited and noble vein (and the fact it's summer and hot), I wondered what would happen if crime fiction fans decided to come up with some counterparts of their own? Perhaps they might look like the following:

  • Butter Choc Holmes: Vanilla Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Candy Bits

  • Jack Peacher: Vanilla Ice Cream with Peaches, Cake Pieces and Red Raspberry Sauce

  • Miss Chocolate Marble: Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Swirl

  • El Smores Leonard: Vanilla Ice Cream with Graham Cracker, Chocolate Pieces andMarshmallow Swirl

  • Sharon McPumpkin Pie Crumb: Pumpkin Flavored Ice Cream with Pie Pieces and Cinnamon Swirl

  • Edgar Marzipan Cocoa: Chocolate Ice Cream with Almond Cookies and Marizpan Swirl

  • Laura Chocolate Chipman: Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Chips and a Fudgy Swirl

Not to be outdone, Quirk Books came up with some of their own, like the flavor photo above. Of course, smart blog readers out there can surely come up with more and better ideas, but in the meantime, which of the above tickles your fancy the most?
